Can we hear you pumping on our stereo?

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

A big hey to everyone out there from the Youth Participation group. After an absence we are back in action and one thing were really excited about is Breakout Radio. Breakout will have a radio station going out over the course of weekend and it will be a chance for you.. yes you, to share your views on the church and the world at large. To that end, as well as wanting people to present over the weekend,  we are looking for anyone who might be interested in helping us produce content to go out over the weekend. There will be a training weekend for people who are wanting to take part in June and places are limited so register your interest ASAP to participation@breakout2008.infoHope your all doing well and we look forward to seeing you all in July! Paul & Dan

Well I don’t know about anyone else but i’m excited about Breakout already! It’s gonna be great!

Oh yeah I should probably say who I am :-s I’m Paul and i’m on the management team looking after youth participation. “What on earth is that?” I hear you cry! Well i’m here to make sure Breakout ties in with whats going on with regards to youth work in the rest of the Methodist Church.

One of the main aspects of Breakout is going to be that people are going to be placed in to villages. These villages will take part in activities together and will join up and take part in activities with other villages as well as the entire of Breakout. Through this you will be able to make new friends and links so you can take back some of the enthusiasm and excitement of Breakout with you.

Well I gotta go now but keep your eyes peeled on the Blog for more info.
